 Ethics in Aviation


            In aviation, in order for any flight to be possible, it takes more than just a crew to fly the airplane and a couple of flight attendants to ensure the safety on board an airplane. For an airplane to fly, there are a lot of people working hard behind the curtains. This includes maintenance and cleaning personnel, dispatch personnel to calculate fuel, weight and balance, and many more. 

            Sometimes, in aviation, people do not tend to treat everybody equally, and I have experienced this more than once. I found this is not very ethical, treating people differently according to their job is wrong. I have seen passengers treat line service people that help them load their bags and provide them with different commodities, and they still get treated badly. That same passenger then was greeting the pilots of the airplane as if they were at another level, and treated them with more respect compared to the line service personnel.

Weather Hazards

 Aircraft Icing      I cing can be one of the most dangerous things affecting an aircraft. Icing can adhere to any part of the aircraft adding undesirable weight. Icing adds a lot of drag, weight, and if encountered on the wings, it can reduce lift exponentially. Icing can be encountered both in the air and on the ground. In the air, icing can be found anywhere up to a temperature of approximately 10 degrees Celsius, and in visible moisture (rain, cloud, fog, etc). On the ground, in cold areas, snow can adhere to the aircraft and needs to be removed before flight.     T here are many ways and forms of icing that can be present on an airplane. Hydraulic System

  Hydraulic System          The hydraulic system is a very important system that can be found as small as in the brakes of a small airplane or as big a system as moving all flight control on an airplane. To make it easy to understand, the  hydraulic system works with a special fluid being moved through a set of pipes or lines, to make things work. This fluid is said to be uncompressible or it resists to compress. The whole system is pressurized when working, meaning that the fluid is being moved, and that movement makes pistons move, making some other systems like landing gear, brakes, spoilers, and many others work.          The system is pretty reliable, but if there is even a small leak of fluid in the system, everything will gradually stop working depending on the amount of fluid that is leaking.
